The Art of Tehran Promo Design
Kan Broadcasting Corporation approached us to design a promo kit for Tehran Season 3. The challenge was to create a visual identity that resonates both locally and globally while reflecting the essence of the series. Tehran follows Mossad agent Tamar, on a covert mission in Tehran to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. The series delves into themes of espionage, identity, and the Israeli-Iranian conflict.
Our design process began with identifying a central element that could be interpreted in multiple ways and fit various situations. We chose the Iranian hijab, central to Tamar’s disguise, symbolizing both her role and the series’ core themes. To enhance contrast, we paired the hijab with the concrete texture of the Channel 11 logo, representing Tehran itself. The relationship between fabric and concrete creates an intriguing visual tension. In animation, we gave the fabric a mysterious, flowing motion, reflecting Tamar’s covert nature. We also adapted the series’ original texture for a consistent global marketing identity.
